Bayard's Cafe: A Cozy Diner Experience in Salina, KS

Wonderful! Great portions. The prices are right. Our waitress, Stephanie, answered all our questions about the place and explained things very well. The hashbrowns were super crispy and yummy. Biscuits and gravy were really good. Pancakes were very good. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order. This is a great home cooking place. We are very new to the area and found us a keeper! And, Nicole Evans is the hostess with the mostest. Superb people!!!

What do you want from a diner? Good food or great atmosphere? As for me…it’s the food. And I wasn’t disappointed with the wonderful corned beef hash. Blew my calories for the day, but it was worth it. Notables: corned beef has was great, like I remember as a kid-and that’s saying a lot. I picked English muffin and thought a muffin was a muffin, but this crunchy crusted top reminded me of golden has browns….which btw were crispy and golden. Go for the food. It’s traditional plan diner atmosphere but why not. Go for great food.

Haven't really eaten there since husband started working there several years ago and to be honest the food was better when the brother was the cook, since his passing it's was better to seek employment with another company, can't take what the brother was teaching to enjoy being a employee and working there and replace it with all the B.S. and poop talking that started, the brother and other family members cared for this restaurant, but leave it where it's at now and in a year it'll be sold. The brother made sure a lot of items were made fresh and ready to go, now it's all much of the frozen stuff, nothing made like it used to be.

Great homecook food. Very reasonable prices. Everyone is super friendly. A resturant every small town used to have. When we're in Salina, it's our place to eat!

We stopped at Bayard’s Café for breakfast while driving through Salina, and it was such a great find! The service was super friendly, and the food came out fast and hot. Everything we ordered was delicious—classic breakfast done right—and the portions were HUGE! Definitely a cozy little spot worth checking out if you’re in the area. We left full and happy!

This is a fantastic restaurant. We ate here for breakfast and it was excellent. Bacon was crispy and so were the hash browns just how I like it. Coffee was better than most diners I’ve been to. I will be back for sure.

Overall a good first visit. They were quite busy but we were seated quickly. The service was mildly friendly but fast. We got our food in less than 10 minutes. My biscuits and gravy was good, nothing great. Nothing really fancy, just a classic breakfast diner with good food.
